Former “Bachelorette” star, Ali Fedotowsky, recently spoke about her worst celebrity encounter while working as an E! News correspondent during an episode of the “Women On Top” podcast. She revealed that it was with “Brokeback Mountain” actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Fedotowsky had prepared herself for the red carpet event where she was set to interview Gyllenhaal, but her plans went awry when the actor allegedly walked away from her after she asked him a question about his date for the evening. She was left in tears and thought she was going to lose her job.
Fedotowsky was surprised by Gyllenhaal’s rudeness as she has done “countless” interviews and knows “how easy it is to be nice” to reporters. She also shared how much she disliked working as a red carpet correspondent, calling it her “least favorite job [she] ever had.”
Despite her negative experience, Fedotowsky did give a shoutout to the stars who left a positive impression on her during her reporting days. She named Tom Hanks the “nicest guy ever” and praised Kris Jenner as “the kindest, nicest human being who is so smart.” She also regarded reality stars, in general, as being “so nice.”
Although she had come to dislike working in the entertainment industry, it did lead her to find her now-husband Kevin Manno. The pair started dating in 2013 after meeting on “1st Look,” a syndicated show where Fedotowsky was the host and Manno was a correspondent. They have since tied the knot and have two children together.
