TLC’s Chilli gushed about her romance with actor Matthew Lawrence, describing it as “real and there is nothing fake about it.” The couple were first linked together last summer, and Lawrence confirmed they had been friends for years before romance blossomed. TLC singer Chilli gushed over her “amazing” new romance with Matthew Lawrence but declined to say whether marriage was in the cards for the pair.

TLC member Chilli, whose real name is Rozonda Thomas, recently gushed about her relationship with actor Matthew Lawrence at Variety’s Power of Women luncheon. The couple, who was first spotted together in the summer of 2021, confirmed their relationship in January. The Grammy winner confirmed to Page Six that their relationship is genuine, and they are both happy being together.

In an interview with Page Six, Chilli admitted that she is experiencing something different from what she had before she met Lawrence. The TLC singer, who says she was happy being single before, explained that Lawrence changed her perspective on relationships. Although she declined to comment on whether a marriage was in the cards for the couple, she confirmed that they are still in the beginning stages of their relationship.

Cheryl Burke, Lawrence’s ex-wife, seemingly dissed their relationship when she wrote “That was fast…” on her Instagram Story in January 2022. Burke, who filed to end her marriage with Lawrence in the same month, did not have any children with her ex-husband. Meanwhile, Chilli and Lawrence spent Thanksgiving and Christmas together with Chilli’s family, indicating that their relationship is serious.

In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lawrence revealed that he and Chilli were friends for years before they started dating. He shared that their romance blossomed when they happened to be on the same flight. Now that they are officially a couple, Lawrence could not contain his happiness and described his relationship with Chilli as “really, really special.” Lawrence was previously married to dancer Cheryl Burke, who he tied the knot with in May 2019.
