Darnell Ferguson, Food Network Star, Allegedly Choked & Threatened Woman’s Life

Well, here’s a shocker. Darnell “SuperChef” Ferguson, a big name in the culinary world, allegedly threatened to kill a woman. That’s right, you heard it here first. He was arrested, as per a warrant that TMZ managed to get their hands on.

Now, here’s where things get really ugly. The woman, in her statement, claimed that Ferguson broke into her Louisville home on Jan. 2. He didn’t stop there. He started punching walls, then grabbed her by the neck. The woman alleges that he strangled her and threatened to kill her. She lost consciousness after that.

When she came to, the story takes an even darker turn. She claimed that Ferguson ripped off her pants and demanded to see her genitalia. He told her that she only belonged to him. She feared he was going to sexually assault her, as reported by the outlet.

The woman reported the incident to the police. They found visible injuries on her. She told them that the TV personality left after allegedly taking her credit and debit cards, and her ID.

The woman’s identity is still a mystery. The St. Matthews Police Department has decided to keep the victim’s information under wraps, as per their press release.

The news broke just hours after Page Six confirmed that Darnell, who is married to Tatahda Ferguson, was taken into custody. He was arraigned and pleaded not guilty. His bond was set at $10,000.

Ferguson is facing a slew of charges. We’re talking burglary, strangulation, assault (domestic violence), terroristic threatening, menacing, criminal mischief, and theft of a stolen credit/debit card. Records obtained by Page Six also show that a family court granted an emergency protection request against him on the day of the alleged attack.

A preliminary hearing for the protection order is set for Jan. 17. Ferguson has been a regular on several Food Network shows, including Guy Fieri’s “Tournament of Champions,” “Worst Cooks in America” and “SuperChef: Grudge Match.” He’s also a frequent judge on “Chopped” and “Guy’s Grocery Games.”
