Elijah Blue Allman’s Divorce Dismissal Denied Amid Conservatorship Drama

Elijah Blue Allman’s plea to dismiss his divorce from Marieangela King has been shot down. Page Six got their hands on the court documents that confirm this.

The court didn’t grant the dismissal because there’s a temporary support order in place. This led the judge to rule against Allman.

Allman, who’s 47, first filed for divorce from his musician wife in November 2021. They’d been married for about eight years.

This setback for Cher’s son comes at a time when the “Believe” singer is trying to establish a conservatorship over Allman. This is due to his struggles with substance abuse.

Cher, who’s 77, voiced her concerns in the filing. She’s worried that Allman can’t properly take care of himself or manage his own finances. She fears that any funds given to Elijah will be immediately spent on drugs. This would leave him with no assets and put his life at risk.

The “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer also stated that Allman makes $120,000 a year. He’s entitled to regular distributions from a trust set up by his father for his benefit.

In another filing, Cher claimed Allman, the son of late musician Gregg Allman, was missing. She urgently requested to be approved as his temporary conservator.

Cher also claimed that King would try to prevent Allman from learning about the conservatorship hearing.

The “Tea With Mussolini” star maintained that having a temporary conservator wouldn’t harm Allman’s finances.

Allman didn’t agree. He filed a response objecting to the conservatorship. He told the court he’s clean and sober.

The musician admitted he’s struggled with addiction and hasn’t always been responsible with money. But he insisted he’s under a doctor’s care and attending AA meetings.

“I recently passed a drug test and am willing to submit to future drug tests,” he claimed.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge rejected Cher’s conservatorship petition on Friday, Jan. 5. There’s another hearing about the matter scheduled for Jan. 29.
