Bravo’s newest reality show, “Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard,” features four former Playboy Club Bunnies who met while working in New York City. Jasmine Cooper, one of the starring cast members, describes how her experience as a Bunny “forever bonded” her with Jordan Emanuel, Shanice Henderson, and Bria Fleming. Speaking on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, Cooper recounts how she landed the job at the Playboy Club after experiencing homelessness in New York City.
Cooper, who hails from Atlanta, sharpened her creative skills while clocking in hours at the revived Playboy Club in Manhattan. Since the Club’s closure in November 2019, Cooper has become a screenwriter and stars alongside her husband, Silas Cooper, in “Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard.” The couple married shortly before production began on the show, which follows their group of 12 friends as they reunite in Massachusetts’ coastal community.
Cooper explains how Emanuel became the first Black Playboy Bunny to be named Playmate and Playmate of the Year. Cooper and her former colleagues remain close and bonded like family, even after the Playboy Club’s closure. Silas Cooper, an Army Reserve officer, speaks about the importance of maintaining his wife’s connection with her friends, whom he describes as her “sisters.”
“Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard” is the first spinoff of Bravo’s original hit show set in the Hamptons. The show premiered on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
