The US government has subpoenaed Baron App aka Cameo, to determine if they owe any money to Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah, who checked into prison earlier this month to start her 6-year prison sentence and has had assets worth $6.5 million seized by the government as part of her sentence.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah has checked into prison to begin serving her 6-year sentence for fraud. The government has also started seizing Shah’s assets, including a subpoena for Baron App, also known as Cameo, a platform that allows fans to purchase customized videos from celebrities. Cameo has been instructed to answer questions regarding whether they have any money owed to Shah in their possession. However, the company did not list any assets owed to her.

As part of her sentence, Shah has agreed to forfeit $6.5 million and make restitution of $6.64 million. She was also ordered to turn over 30 luxury items and 78 counterfeit luxury items. Upon her release from prison, Shah will serve five years of supervised release. Her attorney stated that she accepts full responsibility for her actions and deeply apologizes to all those who have been harmed.

Shah herself stated in court, “My actions have hurt innocent people. I want to apologize by saying, I am doing all I can to earn the funds to pay restitution.” Shah’s attorney stated that she “wants to pay her debt to society and put this ordeal behind her and her family.” Shah also addressed her persona on reality TV, emphasizing that “reality TV has nothing to do with reality, even my tagline, Shah-mazing — they wrote it.”

While Shah’s story serves as a cautionary tale, it also highlights the power of the legal system to hold individuals accountable for their actions. It is important to remember that everyone, including celebrities, is subject to the law and that justice will prevail. In the meantime, we can learn from Shah’s mistakes and strive to always act with honesty and integrity in our own lives.
