Kroy Biermann accused Kim Zolciak of punching him in the back of the head and the two engaged in a domestic dispute over disputed property, including Zolciak’s designer purses, jewelry and passport, before Biermann filed for divorce and a custody battle over their four minor children ensued.

Former NFL player Kroy Biermann has accused his estranged wife, reality TV star Kim Zolciak, of punching him in the back of the head. According to a police report dated May 4 obtained by Page Six, two officers from the Milton Police Department responded to the couple’s Georgia home after Zolciak called to report a domestic dispute. Zolciak alleged that Biermann had locked her designer purses, jewelry and passport in a safe before hiding the key from her, though Biermann claimed the goods were marital property. He took them with the intention of liquidating them to help offset some costs, he said.

When police officers arrived at the home, Biermann escorted them to the basement and opened the safe in question. Inside, they found miscellaneous valuable items but no purses. Biermann handed them Zolciak’s passport, which was in a Louis Vuitton case. He then alleged that Zolciak had punched him in the back of the head during an earlier altercation concerning the disputed property but did not have visible injuries and declined medical attention. He produced a recording of the alleged incident but ultimately said he did not want to press charges.

The couple has been dealing with financial hardships behind closed doors for some time, according to insiders. The news of their split came as reports claimed that they owe the IRS more than $1m in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties. The two are now in the midst of a custody battle, with each requesting sole legal and physical custody of their four youngest children. Biermann had legally adopted Zolciak’s daughters from a previous relationship, Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21. Biermann has claimed that his estranged wife’s alleged gambling problem “financially devastated” their family, while Zolciak has claimed that she witnessed her estranged husband smoking marijuana and has “concerns” about the kids’ “safety”.
