Kylie Jenner turned away from Met Gala after-party due to overcapacity

Kylie Jenner was temporarily held back from entering Diddy’s post-Met Gala party due to being over capacity, causing chaos outside. Other guests such as Janelle Monae and “Gossip Girl” star Evan Mock were also turned away from the event. However, those who made it in included Gisele Bündchen, Emily Ratajkowski, Mary J Blige and Lil Nas X, with Teyana Taylor doing a surprise performance.

Kylie Jenner was turned away from a crowded party at the Box after arriving to meet up with Bad Bunny and her sister Kendall Jenner, but eventually left because she did not want to be at a crowded party.

Celebrities had trouble getting into one of the Met Gala’s after-parties, causing a chaotic scene in the early hours of Tuesday. Kylie Jenner was among the stars held at the door of hospitality guru Richie Akiva, Doja Cat, and Diddy’s party at the Box, before leaving for home. According to witnesses, the party was over capacity with more than 100 people clamoring to get in.

Kylie Jenner arrived around midnight to meet her sister Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny who were already inside. She was waiting to be escorted into the party through a side door as a VIP guest, but she got out of her car before the organizers were ready for her. Ultimately, she decided to leave the party since she didn’t want to be at a crowded event. Janelle Monae and “Gossip Girl” star Evan Mock were also turned away because of capacity issues.

The party witnessed a chaotic scene, which forced the cops to show up to help manage the crowds and keep the streets clear. Some 200 people were turned away from the party, and many guests had to wait for long hours to enter. Those lucky enough to make it inside included Gisele Bündchen, Emily Ratajkowski, Mary J Blige, Lil Nas X, Paris Hilton, and Anna Wintour’s daughter, Bee Carrozzini.

Meanwhile, Naomi Campbell hung out with British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, Jared Leto toted around the giant head of his Choupette the cat costume, and singer Teyana Taylor gave a surprise performance. Comedian Chris Rock also hit the dance floor, and co-host Diddy got on the mic for 20 minutes. According to some sources, the waiters were dressed like Karl Lagerfeld, the late fashion designer and the party’s honoree.

Despite the challenges, it seems that guests still enjoyed the after-party at the Box, as they filled the place with their style and glamour. Nonetheless, some celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Janelle Monae, and Evan Mock missed the chance to join the festivities since the party was overbooked.
