Life Wasn’t Fair to You

Angel Carter is heartbroken. Her sister, Bobbie Jean Carter, has passed away suddenly, and she’s reflecting on the unfair hand life dealt her sibling.

“To my older sister Bobbie,” Angel begins in a lengthy statement. She posted this on Instagram on Sunday, featuring pictures from Bobbie’s childhood.

Bobbie had a great sense of humor and a lively spirit. Angel recalls, “Growing up, I was your baby, and you were my best friend.”

Bobbie’s life was marred by substance abuse. Angel vaguely details the pain her sister experienced throughout her life.

“Life wasn’t fair to you, that I know,” Angel continues. She expresses how crucial it is for children to experience innocence rather than trauma, pain, and suffering.

Angel has faced her share of loss. She lost her twin brother, Aaron Carter, in 2022, and her sister Leslie Carter in 2012, both due to addiction. She understands why they turned to drugs.

“I know why Leslie, Aaron, and now you ended up in the circumstances that you did,” Angel shares. She empathizes with the pain they experienced during their childhood and expresses regret that they didn’t have a chance for a better life.

The cause of Bobbie’s death is unclear. However, Angel urges her followers to address mental health issues and break the cycle of “generational dysfunction.”

“I love you BJ, you’re free now,” Angel concludes. She’s 36 now.

The Carter family matriarch, Jane Carter, announced Bobbie’s sudden passing in Florida on Saturday. This comes more than a year after her son Aaron’s death and 11 years after her daughter Leslie’s death. Bobbie was 41.

“I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean,” Jane told TMZ. She requests privacy to grieve and process this tragedy.

Jane plans to release a fuller statement when she can think clearly. She also asks for prayers for her 8-year-old granddaughter Bella, who has now lost both her parents.

Bobbie’s struggles with addiction led to her arrest earlier this year. She was charged with drug and retail theft in June after allegedly trying to steal $55 worth of crafts from a Hobby Lobby in Brooksfield, Fla.

In a panic, Bobbie revealed to store employees that she had several grams of fentanyl on her while they waited for the police.

Meanwhile, Bobbie’s older brother, Nick Carter, 43, has yet to comment on her death.
