Reality TV star Mama June reveals that she was able to plan an “extravagant” Florida wedding to her husband Justin “Smallz” Stroud for just $13,000, including the venue, hotel rooms, wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and the fee for their wedding planner.
Reality TV star June “Mama June” Shannon has revealed to Page Six that she was able to plan an “extravagant” wedding in Panama City to her husband Justin “Smallz” Stroud for just $13,000. The low price included the venue, hotel rooms, wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, the fee for her wedding planner, and the cost of multiple events throughout the weekend’s celebration. The couple exchanged vows in front of 38 guests in a scenic seaside affair in February.
Despite the full cost of the wedding being covered within their budget, Shannon asserts that “nothing was comped.” Stroud claims that although the financial stress associated with footing the bill wasn’t easy, it was worth it for the meaning behind it and the attendance of their loved ones. Shannon’s famous four daughters, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, Jessica Shannon, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, walked her down the aisle while Stroud’s mother escorted him to the altar.
Prior to their big day, the couple had married in a secret courthouse ceremony in 2022, challenging societal gender norms by Shannon asking Stroud to marry her. The couple, who appear on the WE tv series “Mama June: Family Crisis,” claim to have had an “amazing wedding designer” who was able to create an extravagant wedding for a fraction of the cost.
While Shannon did not disclose the exact budget breakdown, it’s clear that with thoughtful planning and a mix of creativity, it’s possible to have a dream wedding without breaking the bank. For the couple, the most important thing was celebrating their love with their family and friends, regardless of the cost.
