“Ramona Singer forgot Kristen Taekman before RHONY Legacy casting”

Ramona Singer forgot who Kristen Taekman was before both were cast in “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy.” Singer’s daughter, Avery, called Taekman’s inclusion in the show “rogue,” and Singer herself questioned why they included Taekman instead of other “RHONY” alums. The cast for the spinoff miniseries includes Singer, Taekman, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, and Kelly Bensimon, and they will stay in the same home they shared in “RHONY” Season 5 on Saline Beach.

Ramona Singer, one of the longest-standing “Real Housewives of New York City” stars, recently revealed her forgetfulness over former co-star Kristen Taekman before both were cast in “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy.” Singer’s daughter and “Turtle Time” podcast co-host, Avery, labelled Taekman’s inclusion in the upcoming miniseries as “rogue.” The duo were taping a Mother’s Day edition of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast when Avery admitted that she had forgotten who Taekman was. “Well, everyone did,” added Singer.

During Singer’s tenure on the show, Taekman was present for only Seasons 6 and 7 and did not interact with Singer much, except for one unpleasant incident during a cast trip in Berkshires. Singer also questioned Taekman’s inclusion in the “Legacy” series, stating that she would have preferred alum Aviva Drescher. The official cast for the fifth installment of the spinoff miniseries includes Singer, Taekman, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, and Kelly Bensimon.

In January, Page Six broke the news that a full-sized reboot of “RHONY” had fallen apart during contract negotiations, so producers transitioned to a shorter vacation-style show. Although sources had previously told Page Six that “RHONY” OG Jill Zarin played a significant role in Bravo rescinding its initial “Legacy” offers, Zarin insists it was more of a mutual decision.

While it remains to be seen whether Singer and Taekman will repeat history on the upcoming show, they were surprisingly pleasant to each other during NBCUniversal’s annual upfront presentation earlier this week. The ladies will travel to Saline Beach and stay at the same home they shared on “RHONY” Season 5, but no release date has been announced yet.
