Reality TV star Kim Zolciak and her estranged husband Kroy Biermann are facing a new lawsuit over an unpaid debt of $213k plus interest after allegedly defaulting on a home equity line of credit.

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak and her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, are facing further financial woes as a new lawsuit has been filed against them over an outstanding debt. According to court documents, Simmons Bank recently lodged a civil lawsuit against the ex-couple for an unpaid debt related to a Home Equity Line of Credit they acquired from Landmark Community Bank. Initially set to mature in December 2016, the couple requested an extension, which was granted and subsequently pushed the maturity date to December 2017.

However, the situation worsened as the couple failed to meet their financial obligations, prompting a second modification in 2018. By this time, they acknowledged owing a remaining principal balance of $271,788.61. The suit revealed that monthly payments of $1,132.46 were agreed upon, with the first payment due on February 24, 2018, and the final payment scheduled for January 24, 2038. Sadly, the defendants defaulted on the note by neglecting to make the monthly payments, resulting in the bank demanding the full outstanding amount.

According to the lawsuit, Simmons Bank notified Kim and Kroy about the debt on May 19, 2023. At present, the defendants owe a considerable sum of $213,000, plus an accrued interest of $1,700, which is due as of April 1, 2023. The ex-couple has yet to respond to the legal action taken against them.

This lawsuit adds to the financial hardships faced by Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann. With their ongoing divorce and now the mounting debt, it appears that their troubles have multiplied. Fans and followers of the Real Housewives of Atlanta series will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on the developments regarding this lawsuit and its impact on both parties involved.
