Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes accused a family friend of selling her car without giving her the money, but the case was voluntarily dismissed after they privately settled their issues, as Leakes continues to face a legal battle with a landlord over unpaid rent.

Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes recently found herself entangled in a legal dispute with a family friend over the sale of her car. According to the paperwork filed in Georgia Court on April 12, 2023, Leakes accused the respondent, Sean Bush, of selling her car but failing to provide her with the proceeds. The reality TV star revealed that she had entrusted her vehicle to Sean, who owned a dealership, for selling purposes back in December 2022. However, to her dismay, Sean allegedly sold the car without her knowledge and failed to hand over the money.

Attempting to resolve the matter, NeNe initially requested a court hearing slated for May 26, 2023. Due to Sean’s promises to rectify the situation, she sought a 30-day extension. Consequently, a new hearing was scheduled for July 12, 2023, which mandated the presence of both parties involved. Surprisingly, just before the hearing was set to take place, NeNe voluntarily dismissed the case altogether, leading to speculation about a private settlement between the two individuals.

While NeNe may have resolved one legal battle, she still faces another concerning her now-closed Swagg Boutique. The property’s landlord filed a legal complaint stating that NeNe had signed a lease in 2017 and subsequently extended it for an additional year in 2021. However, she vacated the premises in January 2022 and allegedly left an unpaid rent balance amounting to $22,900. Despite the landlord’s multiple demands for payment, NeNe allegedly ignored his requests, resulting in an ongoing dispute.

It seems that NeNe Leakes is currently navigating a complex legal situation, facing challenges ranging from the mismanagement of her car’s sale to the unresolved rent balance of her former boutique. As events continue to unfold, it remains to be seen how she will address these legal issues in the months to come.
