“Shark Tank star files restraining order against former contestants over profit dispute”

“Shark Tank” star Daymond John has filed for a restraining order against former contestants who accused him of trying to cut them out of their due profits. The Bubba Baker family claimed John attempted to overtake their Bubba’s Q Boneless Baby Back Ribs truck and that they have only seen around 4 percent of the $16 million in revenue. John’s representative denied the claims and said the restraining order was due to the Bakers’ “blatant actions to undermine a business partnership and the legal parameters they agreed to four years ago.”

“Shark Tank” star Daymond John has filed for a temporary restraining order against former contestants who’ve claimed that he tried to cut them out of their due profits.

“Shark Tank” star Daymond John has filed for a temporary restraining order against former contestants who claimed that he attempted to seize their due profits. John requested the order against Al “Bubba” Baker, his wife, Sabrina Baker, and their daughter, Brittani Bo Baker, who publicly accused John of trying to take over their Bubba’s Q Boneless Baby Back Ribs truck. The Bakers claimed that John failed to provide their rightful earnings and excluded them from meetings. However, John’s spokesperson, Zach Rosenfield, denied these allegations, citing repeated attempts to give the Bakers the ability to rectify their violations.

According to Rosenfield, John’s decision to file for a restraining order is due to the Bakers’ violations of legal parameters agreed upon four years ago in their business partnership. In an interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” Rosenfield stated, “This temporary restraining order is due to the Bakers’ blatant actions to undermine a business partnership and the legal parameters they agreed to four years ago.” He also stated that the Bakers’ attempts at “unwinding poor business decisions through slanderous social media posts and articles” will no longer be tolerated.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the Bakers were offered $300,000 for 30 percent of the company when they appeared on the ABC business competition series in 2013. They further claimed that they have only received approximately 4 percent of the $16 million in revenue. The Bakers alleged that John attempted to revise the terms of the investment by offering $100,000 for 35 percent of the company and attempting to take the company into business with Rastelli Foods Group. Once John came onboard, the Bakers alleged that Al was intentionally excluded from meetings and decisions.

In addition to John’s denial of the allegations, Rastelli Foods Group has also filed for a temporary restraining order against the Bakers. While it is unfortunate that the situation has escalated to this point, John’s decision to file for a restraining order is a necessary measure to defend his business partnership and legal parameters.
