Sister Wives Alum Christine Brown Discusses Intimate Life with Ex-Husband Kody Before Split

Christine Brown recently spilled the beans about her relationship with ex Kody Brown. She revealed that their sex life was almost non-existent in the time leading up to their split.

“It was, like, five times in one year,” she confessed on the “Juicy Scoop” podcast. She was speaking to Heather McDonald on Tuesday’s episode.

She delved deeper into the issue. “There’s sex and then there’s intimacy. What we didn’t have was intimacy,” she explained. The 51-year-old added, “The intimacy itself had been gone for years.”

Christine and Kody parted ways in November 2021. She recalled a conversation with her ex where he stated they couldn’t continue having sex. “He’s like, ‘We’re not going to have an intimate marriage anymore. We’re not going to have sex,'” she claimed.

That was a turning point for her. She started “boxing up his stuff” and told the polygamist he couldn’t sleep in her bed anymore.

Christine and Kody tied the knot in March 1994. They share six children: daughters Aspyn, Mykelti, Gwendlyn, Ysabel and Truely, as well as son Paedon.

Kody had four “spiritual” marriages, including one with Christine. He has since separated from Janelle after nearly 30 years and Meri after 32 years. However, he and Robyn are still together.

As for Christine, she’s moved on. She is now married to David Woolley. They tied the knot in October 2023.

“It’s a fairytale,” she told People at the time. “I’ve never been in love like this before, and the world seems like a brighter place with him in it.”

Despite being with Kody for over 25 years, Christine said their romance began to crumble in 2020. The reason? She didn’t like how he treated their daughter Ysabel during her spinal surgery.

“The final thing for me was Ysabel’s surgery. [Kody] said to [Ysabel] … ‘I can’t leave my family for that long.’ Ysabel goes, ‘I thought we were family. I thought he was my dad.’ She was like, ‘What am I?'”

That was the last straw for Christine. She realized they were “done.” She concluded, “I can’t be married to a guy who doesn’t consider us his family.”
