Kyle Cooke shares that wife Amanda Batula’s fertility struggle is more complicated than fans realize and that she has been receiving harsh comments from trolls regarding her weight.

Kyle Cooke, star of “Summer House,” recently opened up about his wife Amanda Batula’s fertility struggles in an interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast. He revealed that there is more to her challenges than what the show depicted and that she has been unfairly criticized by trolls online. Batula’s health, particularly her menstrual cycle, has been a prominent storyline on the show, with newcomer Samantha Feher assuming that Batula would be the first in the group to have children because she is the only married woman.

Batula, a graphic designer, explained during a tea party scene in the episode that aired on March 6 that she and Cooke want to have children but that it’s not currently possible. She experienced her last period in November 2021 after going off birth control months earlier and also lost weight due to a new medication she was taking to help with acne. According to Cooke, Batula was breaking out like a teenager while also losing weight, and it was a two-fold weight loss issue that she had no control over.

One of Batula’s friends on the show, Ciara Miller, encouraged her to seek medical attention during production, which Cooke applauded. Despite the challenges, the couple got married in September 2021 in front of Bravo cameras.

Cooke also discussed the Peacock competition series “The Traitors,” which he participated in with other reality TV personalities such as Brandi Glanville, Kate Chastain, and Arie Luyendyk Jr. The show aired its first season in 2022. Cooke’s former “Summer House” castmate Lindsay Hubbard expressed her desire to be on the show during a “Virtual Reali-Tea Live!” show on Feb. 10. While Cooke and Hubbard’s relationship is currently complicated, he said he would endorse her for the show and believes that she would be good at it.

“Summer House” airs on Bravo on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET, while “The Traitors” is available to stream on Peacock.
